No Child Labour Policy

1. Introduction

DAQ Tech Sdn. Bhd. is committed to upholding human rights and ethical labour practices. We recognize that child labour deprives children of their childhood, education, and potential. As a responsible business in the interactive panel industry, we strictly prohibit the use of child labour in any part of our operations or supply chain.

 

2. Definition of Child Labour

For the purpose of this policy:

  • Child Labour refers to any form of employment of children below the minimum age of 15 years, or 14 years where local laws permit, as defined by the International Labour Organization (ILO) Convention No. 138.
  • Hazardous work and forced labour for individuals under the age of 18 are strictly prohibited in line with ILO Convention No. 182.

 

3. Policy Commitments

3.1 Employment Standards

  • DAQ Tech Sdn. Bhd. does not employ anyone under the age of 18 in hazardous work.
  • All employees must meet the minimum legal working age requirements as defined by local and international laws.
  • We conduct age verification during recruitment to ensure compliance.

 

3.2 Supply Chain Responsibility

  • We require all suppliers, contractors, and business partners to adhere to the same no child labour standards.
  • Contracts and agreements will include explicit provisions prohibiting the use of child labour.
  • Regular audits and assessments will be conducted to monitor supplier compliance.

 

3.3 Education & Community Support

  • We encourage initiatives that promote education for children in communities where we operate.
  • We will not support or engage with any organization that exploits child labour or denies children the right to schooling.

 

3.4 Remediation Measures

  • If any instance of child labour is identified within our operations or supply chain, immediate corrective action will be taken.
  • Remediation will prioritize the welfare of the child, including support for education and family livelihood alternatives.

 

4. Accountability & Monitoring

  • The Human Resources Department is responsible for implementing and monitoring compliance with this policy.
  • All employees and stakeholders are encouraged to report concerns confidentially without fear of retaliation.
  • Periodic reviews and independent audits will be conducted to ensure strict adherence.
