No Forced Labour Policy

1. Introduction

DAQ Tech Sdn. Bhd. is committed to respecting human rights and ensuring that all work is conducted voluntarily. We strictly prohibit the use of forced, bonded, trafficked, or involuntary labour in any part of our business or supply chain. We believe in fair treatment, dignity, and freedom of choice for all employees.

 

2. Definition of Forced Labour

Forced labour refers to any work or service that is exacted from a person under threat, coercion, deception, or penalty, and which the person has not voluntarily agreed to perform. This includes:

  • Debt bondage (work demanded to repay a debt).
  • Human trafficking for labour exploitation.
  • Compulsory labour imposed through threats or abuse.
  • Restriction of movement or withholding of identification documents.

3.1 Employment Practices

  • All employment at DAQ Tech Sdn. Bhd. is voluntary.
  • Employees shall retain control over their personal identity documents, travel papers, and work permits.
  • Wages shall be paid directly, regularly, and in full, with no unlawful deductions.
  • Employees have the right to resign in accordance with legal notice requirements, without coercion or penalty.

 

3.2 Supply Chain Responsibility

  • Suppliers, contractors, and business partners must adhere to the same zero-tolerance stance on forced labour.
  • Supplier contracts include explicit clauses prohibiting forced or trafficked labour.
  • We will conduct audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance.

 

3.3 Freedom of Movement

  • Employees have the right to freedom of movement within and outside company facilities.
  • Company housing or accommodations, if provided, are voluntary and not a condition of employment.

 

3.4 Recruitment Practices

  • Recruitment fees or deposits shall not be charged to employees, directly or indirectly.
  • Only accredited and ethical recruitment agencies may be engaged.
  • Pre-employment contracts must be transparent, fair, and in a language understood by the employee.

 

4. Remediation & Accountability

  • If any case of forced labour is identified, DAQ Tech Sdn. Bhd. will take immediate corrective action, prioritizing the welfare and safety of affected individuals.
  • Employees and stakeholders can report concerns confidentially through established grievance channels without fear of retaliation.
  • HR and Compliance departments are responsible for monitoring and enforcing this policy.
